The protection gap is a data gap. We close it with the food on your plate.
Reimagine Risk turns everyday meals into predictive health intelligence. Our clinically grounded Dietary Risk Model gives life and health insurers, reinsurers and employers a dynamic, behavioural data layer that static blood tests and wellness programs will never capture.
What we believe: the largest risk is the one we don't measure. Excluding dietary data leads to underestimating chronic disease and future claims — for insurers and the people they protect.
Why today's tools can't see metabolic risk
Asia faces an unprecedented opportunity — and a looming metabolic health crisis. Yet the industry's instruments were built for a world that no longer exists: static snapshots after the fact, and engagement programs that measure steps while ignoring the single biggest driver of chronic disease.
-
Static, lagging underwriting
Blood and urine tests at point-of-sale capture HbA1c and fasting glucose — lagging indicators, reactive not predictive. Over 95% of clients choose a smaller policy just to avoid the needle.
-
Wellness = engagement, not insight
Wearables and step-count discounts arrive after the sale. They ignore diet — the #1 insulin resistance driver — and produce data that is easy to game.
-
The insulin resistance blind spot
The precursor to diabetes and chronic disease affects roughly 30–40% of urban adults — and is invisible to both traditional underwriting and wellness programs.
Dietary data, engineered for underwriting
We build the missing data layer: a Dietary Risk Model that reads everyday eating patterns the way actuaries read mortality tables — rigorous, quantified and continuously learning.
-
Food-as-Underwriting
20+ dietary variables feed a Bayesian model that quantifies mortality and morbidity risk — with uncertainty you can price, not guess.
-
Food-as-Medicine
Clinically validated dietary protocols improve health measurably in weeks — turning risk selection into risk reduction.
-
Insurability-as-a-Service
Clients improve their dietary risk score and healthy habits to qualify for cover — then re-qualify at renewal with dynamic, personalized products.
Four weeks. Real food. Measurable reversal.
A 4-week randomized controlled trial with 181 healthy adults (aged 18–59, normal fasting blood glucose): control, balanced healthy diet, and low-carb groups — with full biomarker, genetic and 3x-weekly food-record testing.
HOMA-IR reduction (p<0.01)
Median insulin resistance fell from 2.0 to 1.6 in the balanced diet group. Control and low-carb groups were flat.
Insulin resistance prevalence
Share of balanced-diet participants with HOMA-IR ≥ 2.5 dropped by more than half in four weeks.
Waist circumference
Alongside a 0.7 BMI reduction — while eating familiar food, adjusted by proportion and combination rather than banned.
Why it matters to insurers
Realized annual mortality improvement of this size compounds over 20 years — the scale reinsurers project for GLP-1s.
Notably, physical activity, smoking, sitting and sleeping time showed no significant correlation with HOMA-IR in our baseline data — diet was the differentiator. Durability beyond 4 weeks, claims impact and optimal reboot frequency are under ongoing study.
Not a competitor. A complement.
GLP-1 therapies are reshaping mortality assumptions. Dietary intervention works through a different mechanism — direct, behavioural and a fraction of the cost — making the two powerfully complementary.
| Dimension | GLP-1 (Semaglutide / Tirzepatide) | Dietary Intervention |
|---|---|---|
| IR reversal mechanism | Indirect (via weight loss) | Direct (meal timing & combination) |
| Time to effect | 12–16 weeks | 4 weeks |
| 1-year discontinuation | ~50% (real-world) | N/A (engagement-based) |
| Cost | $600–$1,000 / month | $85 / year SaaS + $150 meal cost |
| Mortality impact | 3.5% US reduction by 2045 (central scenario) | Under study (Phase 2 ongoing) |
| Side effects | Nausea, vomiting, rare serious events | None (real food) |
| Behavioural change | No — pharmacological | Yes — learns “how, when, what” |
| Access barrier | Prescription, cost, coverage | None |
A new paradigm, built on best actuarial practice
A Bayesian statistical model that evolves with new data, quantifies uncertainty, and delivers high-precision, actionable insights — grounded in the world's most trusted health data source.
Bayesian & evolving
A statistical core that updates its beliefs as new meal, biomarker and claims data arrive — predictive power that compounds instead of aging.
Model Architecture20+ dietary variables
Meal balance, fibre, protein quality, refined carbs, sugar, cooking and processing — scored 0–100 and mapped to mortality and morbidity risk.
Risk FactorsGBD foundation
Built upon the Global Burden of Disease study — 3,600+ researchers across 145 countries — then sharpened with our proprietary trial data.
Data SourcesJust 5 meals to a score
A dietary risk score from five everyday meals — no needles, no lab visit, no login barrier for first use. Frictionless by design.
Client ExperienceUncertainty, quantified
Credible intervals on every estimate — the actuarial discipline regulators and risk committees expect, applied to a brand-new data source.
Actuarial StandardsDynamic products
Ingrain dietary data at the core of product design: dynamic policies that reward improvement, re-qualify at renewal and price risk as it evolves.
